Nvidia, fix your linux!

2024-04-02

Once again, the Nvidia GPU drivers on linux are broken. My arch install that I use for gaming is now horribly unstable, with the kernel crashing and causing near-unusable instability in daily life. So thus, I am left to this emergency-partitioned KDE neon (I need my Plasma 6), which is incredibly stable and I am getting no instability, as well as roughly double the battery life (go figure).

Hopefully in the next month or so I can go back to my Arch install, but I’m not so sure. I may as well start from scratch again with a frest Arch install, as I have learnt a lot about linux in the past 2½ years that I’ve had that install, and I can probably build it stabler.

Update (25/08/24)

It seems that NVidia might be working on it now, several months down the line. gamingonlinux.com
